Helmond/nld Let me one of the first to congratulate the Russians. The way they both completely neutralized the Dutch threat AND played a great, fair, attacking game, was nothing short of fantastic and the stuff of legend.
The Dutch were unmasked as the mediocre team they were during the qualifications, not only the defense but also the midfield, and Van Basten as a coach who has a lot to learn, as both the organisation and the tactical plan masterminded by Hiddink were far superior.
Arshavin was incredible and unstoppable, a joy to watch, and more dangerous than any of the Dutch players on the pitch. This tournament will be the awakening of a great star for the world outside Russia.
The final score was not only completely deserved, it flattered us thanks to Van der Sar and Russia's lack of a clinical killer.
A lot of people who put everything into pre-labelled cliches will bore us with their wishdoms about peaking too early and resting (or not) your players, I for one don't believe in that stuff and fact is the Russians completely outclassed us - the better team went through.

Well done again. This is such an incredible tournament, I'll sure watch the remainder of the matches with great interest. I hope all goes well with the fans tonight as they drank a lot of beer all day.
No predictions, I'd love to see a Turkey-Russia final, although I quite fancy Germany's chances as well - but anywin to win it.

To the Dutch team - Thanks for the great games and memories, we weren't expecting that! It's a disappointment now, but I have to be realistic and you guys outdid yourselves for a few games. It was a great party.

I must say that today Russia displayed the single most mesmerizing performance I have seen in the tournament.

Читиаю дальше комменты наших иностранных друзей (на серьезном сайте). Одни слюни и сопли. Впрочем - ВСЕ считают наших - безусловно лучшей командой на чемпе, а Аршавина ставят выше Рональду. Приятно, блиннн!!!:app: Шаву даже с Марадонной сравнивают, не говоря о всячких т ам Диего Аймарах ) В пользу Андоея ессесно! А про Гуса говорят, если он такое с Россией сделал, представте, что он мог сделать со сборными Бразилии или Аргентины. В любом случае ВСЕ сходятся на том, что это, пока, ВЕЛИЧАЙШИЙ матч этого чемпа. ОЛЕ, РОССИЯ!!!
