The company Storm International, which manages gambling and entertainment venues in the CIS and around the world, expanded its network by opening a new casino — SL Casino Riga in the Latvian capital. This was reported by the press service of the holding.
«Our approach to business is based on the principle of benefit for all — customers, society, and business. Latvia offers an opportunity to realize this approach due to the balance between transparent and reasonable gambling legislation, fair taxation, and market potential», said the CEO of Storm International, Darren Keane.
The new casino is located in the heart of the capital of Latvia in the newly built five-star hotel Grand Kempinski. The total area of the complex is 625 square meters, while the casino is supported by 150 employees. The gaming equipment was provided by leading manufacturers, including Cammegh, Aristocrat, Novomatic, IGT and EGT. All IT systems, including software for managing casinos and slots, were developed by the internal IT department of Storm International.
SL Casino Riga began its activity in late 2017. The grand opening was grandiose: large prizes were drawn among the guests. This approach is traditional for the network of Shangri La, Darren Keane noted. The institution hosts thematic parties on a regular basis, lotteries with cash prizes, and additional jackpots.
Storm International was established in 1992. Now it operates Shangri La casino in Minsk, Riga, Yerevan, and Tbilisi. Also, the company has Storm Casino slot halls in Germany, and business areas in Moscow. Storm International is developing a number of new projects in Europe and Asia. In 2017, the virtual casino by Shangri La brand was created with a MGA license.
